JT Chooses DIGITALK Cloud for Wholesale Service

DIGITALK Limited, Milton Keynes, UK, 23rd May, 2012

DIGITALK, an independent vendor of Carrier, Consumer and Mobile communications solutions to retail and wholesale service providers worldwide, announced today that JT, the leading telecommunications provider based in the Channel Islands, has migrated its international wholesale voice termination service to DIGITALK Cloud. DIGITALK Cloud is a hosted carrier routing platform based on DIGITALK's advanced Session Border Controller VoIP Peering application.

JT offers international voice termination services with points of presence in the UK, USA and Australia, with options for prepaid charging as well as postpaid billing. As part of an expansion of its offering, JT was looking to consolidate its routing capability and to support an extended range of carrier interconnect options, while also being able to offer attractive rates in a highly competitive market.

John Diamond, JT's Wholesale Managing Director, said "We were looking to work with a partner who would support us to get to market quickly and to build the most effective and operationally efficient service. We explored a number of potential options, looking for the best means to smooth the path to market and to focus on the service offer, rather than the engineering project. DIGITALK Cloud has enabled us to do just that, allowing us to gain early market visibility and to grow capacity."

DIGITALK Cloud enables wholesale termination service providers to start up rapidly and to grow flexibly, with headroom to support spikes in traffic volumes. Using the sophisticated VoIP Peering Manager, providers can quickly establish interconnects, upload and offer termination rates, create routing plans, and monitor volumes and performance, all without having to install any network or management systems hardware or software. DIGITALK's service includes full platform management, including hardware and software maintenance and upgrades, backed by comprehensive SLAs with 24x7 support.

Justin Norris, DIGITALK Chief Executive, commented "We see cloud services as a key trend in the telecoms industry, and the adoption of DIGITALK Cloud by JT illustrates that this approach works well for network operators offering wholesale termination services. We're looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership with JT, and to supporting their service success."
