New Release Of Mvts Ii V.1.3.0: Enhanced Routing And Statistics Monitoring Capabilities For Better Call Quality

MERA Systems, a forefront supplier of carrier-grade solutions for intelligent management of VoIP networks, announces a new release of its MVTS II softswitch. The key innovations of v.1.3.0 ensure efficient management of call quality that will guarantee high levels of profitability.

The new version features a revised and improved statistics monitoring mechanism. Users can now customize statistics calculation rules based on call disconnect code and/or call duration. Also, a new statistical parameter, ABR (Answer to Bid Ratio), was introduced. Together with ASR it will give the System owners a closer look at their networks and allow them to promptly react to traffic changes.

The new version enables service providers to deliver assured call quality. It is now possible to define minimum acceptable ASR, ACD and QoS values for each destination and sort out routing alternatives that do not meet the requirements. With this feature MVTS II owners can offer a wide variety of service packages with different pricing policies, thus retaining existing customers and attracting new clients.

To ensure the best-possible call quality, the new version now allows blocking of termination equipment due to low ASR, ABR or ACD values for certain periods, configurable both globally and individually for each termination device. Another important innovation is a fully revised equipment registration procedure providing seamless connectivity with customer and vendor equipment.

The data import scheduler was introduced, enabling more convenient database management. Now System administrators can easily automate their routine import tasks.

Special emphasis was laid on GUI usability. Users will enjoy a new user role creation procedure, possibility to save filters as separate views, and many other new features. Also changes were made to the CDRs views. Now CDRs are displayed in 6 tables (Last hour, Last 24 hours, Last 48 hours, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, All). All in all, the new release comes with over 60 improvements, a significant part of which was introduced in response to customer requests.

"MVTS II is the best proof of MERA Systems' leadership in the market of VoIP softswitch solutions," said Konstantin Nikashov, CEO of MERA Systems, "A lot of our customers that use MVTS II at the core of their networks enjoy the benefits of its flexible routing policies and billing capabilities along with excellent quality of service and seamless connectivity with the company's partner and corporate networks. We're doing our best to implement new features in new product versions to help our customers grow and prosper."
